Shawn Cooper, Treasurer

Cooper is a second year duel degree MPA/MLS student who is focusing on the health care emphasis for both degrees.
Cooper was born and raised in Lost Creek, WV, where he worked toward his goal of helping people in the health care industry. Graduating from the School of Medicine at WVU in Exercise Physiology, his plans started to shift away from the clinical aspect of health care and more so toward the policy and administrative aspects of the industry.
He currently works at Longhorn Steakhouse as a server, where he has been for 6 years. Throughout the previous year Cooper was a member of SAPA, where he helped with the set-up of the Murder Mystery dinner, SAPA’s largest event. He also worked alongside the previous treasurer, Melissa, to ensure that the position would be filled adequately.
After graduating Cooper plans to work as a policy analyst specializing in health care. In his free time Cooper enjoys hanging out with friends, watching movies, and of course cheering on any WVU sports teams.
