SAPA Member Enrichment Fund

Did you hear? SAPA now has a scholarship fund! 

Fund Purpose 
The purpose of this fund is to enhance the education and professionalization of current SAPA Members as they pertain to public service. Awards may be requested for the following: 
  • Expenses related to attending or participating in an academic or professional conference, workshop, or activity
  • Other expenses consistent with MPA-related program activities that also enrich MPA student learning and growth. 
In order to be eligible to receive a grant a student must:
  • Be enrolled as a full-time or part-time and non-provisional student in the MPA program (joint and dual degree program students are eligible);
  • Be taking public administration coursework at the time of the application;
  • Possess a grade point average of not less than 3.0;
  • Have a purpose for expending the grant consistent with the purposes outlined above;
  • Be a current SAPA member in good standing
Student Application Process
Application for funding to support travel, research, or other activities should be made at least one month in advance of the activity to allow sufficient time for the decision to be made and efficient implementation to occur. The application may be in the form of a letter or memorandum but must be in writing. It must state the amount of funding requested and include details of estimated expenses.
